The Jacksboro EDC assisted Wild West Beefsticks when I first decided to open this business last year by introducing me to the SBDC at Midwestern University, getting planning and zoning approval and attending and supporting me at city council meetings. More recently with the COVID 19 issues, I applied for and received the JEDC Rescue Grants. Definitely believe the JEDC is a vital organization for new business.
Thank goodness for the Jacksboro EDC these past few months of Covid-19. My martial art/fitness gym was completely shut down which meant no income to pay rent and utilities. By helping my business with allotted grant money, I was able to survive until I could reopen the dojo/gym.
The Jacksboro Economic Development Corporation helped Appearance Salon through the assistance of their grant program during COVID-19, when there was no financial help for small salon owners. With the help from JEDC we were allowed to stay open and help pay employees.
We never imagined the possibility of a global pandemic and having to shut down to protect our family and friends. With the help of the JEDC, we were able to weather the worst of the storm and be better prepared to welcome everyone back! We are forever grateful for our Jacksboro friends and the EDC! God bless our families, our community and the USA!
